3 Columbus, GA Daycares Helping Your Children Thrive & Grow

The Growing Room

The Growing Room is a Christian daycare started by a pediatric nurse in 1989. Sheree Mitchell wanted to create a space where every family could access quality childcare. The center would expand over the next 30 years to include 11 different centers. Throughout this time, they’ve figured out the keys to making a daycare run smoothly.

They keep open communication with parents and regularly invite them in for parents’ days. They also have fine-tuned their curriculum, focusing on the tools to teach your child early literacy. The school accepts children starting in infancy and hosts a before- and after-school program for elementary-aged children.

Generations Knowledge & Care Center

Generations Knowledge & Care Center has spent over 20 years growing young minds around Columbus. Gerald and Denise Williams started the center to provide children with a place to feel safe and encouraged. They provide regular progress reports so you can constantly know how your child is doing.

The school’s infant program accepts children as young as 12 months. They have an option for drop-ins and part-time care. Elementary-aged children can come for before- and after-school care and full-time summer care. They offer sibling discounts to keep family care more affordable.

Puddle Jumpers Child Enrichment Center

Puddle Jumpers Child Enrichment Center is a faith-based daycare started by two sisters determined to provide parents with a better option for their children. What started as care for their young nephews blossomed into a center where children had a safe place to learn and explore.

The center offers classes beginning in infancy and going up to elementary before- and after-school care. Each classroom uses a set schedule to help children develop a routine that puts them in the mood for learning. They provide discounts to families of essential workers, including Muscogee County School District employees.
